1) Hula dancer(s) – 30-45min show with audience participation: Price depends on how many dancers are requested.
Ideal for Birthday parties for any age group
Dancer arrives in traditional Hula ti-leaf skirt and plumeria accessories. Show begins with a Hula Kahiko dance (ancient hula) so the audience will have a brief history of how Hula originated. The next dance will incorporate the different implements used in hula dancing and the dancer will perform a hula Au`ana (modern hula) using these implements. The third dance will be a “Hollywood Hula” in which the music and songs have been translated into English. For the audience participation, the dancer(s) will teach the guest(s) of honor and the others at the party a popular hula dance. For a child’s party, the dancer(s) will involve the children to play the hula implements /maori poi balls and tahitian ii (pompoms). After a quick costume change, the dancer(s) will conclude the show with 2 fast paced Tahitian dances performed to traditional drumbeats.
2) Hula Dancer(s) w/lei greeting – 40min- hour minute show with audience participation in addition to a time period of your choice for the lei greeting
Same as above but the dancer(s) will arrive early to meet and greet your guests with leis and much Aloha! (Please note: leis are not included, they can be purchased for additional amount-see lei prices).
3) Lei Greeter(s) Only – Amount of time is specific to Individual needs
This is for meet and greet only, no dance performance. The Lei Greeter(s) will arrive in a beautiful muumuu , traditional ti leaf skirt with red tube and plumeria accessories, a sarong set, or tahitian skirt and headdress, depending on the client’s preference.
4) Fire Poi Ball Twirler / Fire Fan Dancer- 12-15 mins.
Can be booked as a solo performer or in addition to Hula Dancers. Fire Twirler will perform 2 routines or number of routines arranged at time of booking. Routines are performed with poi balls with fire and/or fans with fire.
Note: Will not be possible if wind is blowing too much for safety reasons.
5) Fire knife dancer – 12-15 mins.
Can be booked as a solo performer or in addition to Hula Dancers. Fire Knife Dancer will perform 2 routines : first with one fie knife and the second number with 2 fire knives – arranged at time of booking. Routines will be performed with a fire knife.
Note: Will not be possible if wind is blowing too much for safety reasons.
